The dragon will undoubtedly remove those problematic neighborhood criminals, but they’ll have to choose a new sacrifice every twelve months or become his victim themselves. As our protagonist states: “You invoke terrible forces, all you get is additional horrors.”

Stylistic Dexterity and Imaginative Scope

Moving through four decades, the author shifts with effortless ease through various literary forms: as the friends strive to manage the situation they find themselves in by, through diverse methods, selecting clearly malevolent individuals to immolate, or searching for methods to destroy the entity themselves, we transition from thriller to shadowy tale, clandestine torment to affectionate subplot to terror. A standout transition was to a adventure narrative, far beneath the surface under the English county, a part tinged by JRR Tolkien that was magnificently horrifying.
