Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the government.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with notable success and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted wreckage landed in a populated district in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
