Brian Eno Calls On Public Help to Propel Together for Palestine Track to UK Christmas No 1.

A campaign is aiming to send a cultural melody to the top of the UK charts. The effort seeks to send support to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

A Possibility for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a moment to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He noted the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it fails to, festive releases are a category of their own.”

Resilient Spirit of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the reimagining of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It occupies a very special place for a lot of people,” Barghouti said. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Star-Studded Lineup

The track was produced after a large-scale benefit event held in September. Initially planned to be performed and recorded live, the rendition was omitted from the lengthy event due to scheduling overruns.

The diverse array of performers featured on Lullaby includes a group of prominent voices from the industry. All were part of the benefit event, which successfully generated a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was brought to life by a team of talented individuals. The single blends a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with new English lyrics.

The group managing the project have emphasized that their aim is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These resources will be distributed to projects in Palestine through an non-profit partner.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure explained. “We will pursue as much as possible. Of course, the more the merrier. All proceeds are directed out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was noted for its extreme devastation, with a overwhelming percentage of infrastructure reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“Given that reality, a few million is unlikely to make that much difference. But I think the significant factor is primarily spreading knowledge of this plight and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release at the end of the week. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
